About Vermont Youth Conservation Corps

For 40 years, Vermont Youth Conservation Corps (VYCC) has been the proud steward of Vermont's inspiring landscapes and waterways.

VYCC pays young people to work and learn together with the land. Crews on the Conservation program complete environmental stewardship projects across the state. Their impact includes improving water quality, forest health, and access to outdoor recreation. Crews on the Food & Farm program work on an organic farm where all the food they grow feeds Vermont communities. They learn sustainable agriculture practices and distribute farm-fresh produce to Vermonters experiencing food insecurity. Across programs, Corps Members gain skills toward a number of careers.
