Video Production and Editing Internship (Fall 2025)

WaterFire Providence, an arts nonprofit, seeks an enthusiastic intern to join our team and help engage with our supporters. The mission of WaterFire is to revitalize Providence and creatively transform our community. Interns will be involved in the lighting events in Downtown Providence and programming, exhibitions, and events at the WaterFire Arts Center (WFAC) in the Valley neighborhood. 

Job Overview:  Working directly with the Media Producer, this internship will involve assisting in video production, post-production and marketing projects for the 2018 WaterFire season. Projects and tasks  include capturing significant occurrences during WaterFire lightings, assisting in various marketing projects utilizing video captured during the season, editing and post-production work on material for both internal and external parties, working with and organizing the WaterFire Media Library, and assisting in the creation of music programs. Opportunities also include assisting with the installation, maintenance and operation of WaterFire Providence’s sound system….

Responsibilities: 

·   Use of videography and photography equipment during the event

·   Assist in various editing and video production projects

·   Operate  and troubleshoot  videography, photography, and  audio equipment during setup and between events

·   Manage small groups of volunteer videographers

·   Work with the WaterFire Media Library

 

Qualifications: 

·   Experience with use of video equipment

·   Basic knowledge of video production techniques and editing (Premiere Pro preferred)

·   Experience with DSLR photography preferred

·   Availability to attend all WaterFire events over the course of the length of the internship

·   Access to car preferred

·   Access to own video equipment desirable but not required

·   Ability to maintain clear thinking under stress
