Digital Media Specialist – Camp Skylemar (Summer Position)

Camp Skylemar, a summer camp located in beautiful Maine, is seeking a creative, energetic, and skilled Digital Media Specialist to capture and share the unforgettable experiences of our campers and staff. About Camp Skylemar:

Skylemar is a traditional boys’ summer camp with a focus on sportsmanship, teamwork, and personal growth. With over 75 years of camp tradition, Skylemar is home to a vibrant and supportive community where staff make a lasting difference in the lives of children. Compensation packages start at $3,500.00.  We also provide free housing, round-trip travel expenses, meals, staff clothing, time off, and a laundry service.

Responsibilities:

  • Capture high-quality photo and video content of daily camp activities, events, and camper life
  • Edit and upload daily media to our secure parent portal and social platforms
  • Create engaging highlight reels, weekly video recaps, and promotional content
  • Work closely with the Camp Director and leadership team to align content with Skylemar’s brand and values
  • Manage digital file organization and backup systems
  • Maintain a consistent and positive presence on Skylemar’s social media platforms
  • Collaborate with other staff to ensure camper privacy and safety standards are met

Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in videography, and editing (Adobe Creative Suite or similar software)
  • Strong storytelling and visual communication skills
  • Experience with social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, etc.)
  • Ability to work independently and manage daily content deadlines
  • Passion for working with children and being part of a close-knit camp community
  • Previous experience in a camp, school, or youth setting is a plus
