JOB   TITLE  
Research   &   Development   intern.   

RESPONSIBILITIES   

Data collection and cleaning:
Gather and consolidate claims and activity data from various sources, including sales, marketing, operational systems.
Clean, validate and transform data for deep dive analysis.
Data Visualization:
Perform exploratory data analysis (EDA) to identify critical trends, patterns, anomalies.
Statistical Analysis and predictive modeling:
Apply statistical methods (hypothesis test, correlation study, etc.) to analyse patient journeys or retrieve sales activity drivers.
Compliance:
Maintain confidentiality and integrity of sensitive data sharing /reporting.

DESIRED   MAJORS/MINIMUM   QUALIFICATIONS   +   SKILLS  
Majors or specializations (not limited): data science, data analytics, statistics, computer science
Technical skills (must haves): SQL query; Python programming; MS Excel Technical skills (preferred to have): Power BI
Degree: senior or above

INTERVIEW   PROCESS  
2-3 candidates are expected to be invited for the interviews. Ideally I would like to complete all interviews in one day. The total interview for one candidate is planned within 1.5 hour:
30 mins technical interview (To ensure fairness and transparency, this interview is strongly preferred to be arranged on site)
I would provide a few SQL coding questions to test candidates' SQL query skills on site.
15 mins: candidates work on the questions
15 mins: walk me through the coding logics
15-30 mins Python demo: candidates can demo their past Python coding work and provide an introduction about their work's goals/applications. (This demo can be done online or on site).
[optional] 20-30 mins round table conversations with 1-2 CIAO team members (On site or online)
