2026 Firm Strategy & Execution Summer Analyst Program (New York)

WE OFFER

  • A 10-week program that takes place at Morgan Stanley's headquarters in New York
  • The opportunity to:
    • Be part of the team that leads Principal M&A transactions(e.g., Acquisitions of Smith Barney, E*TRADE, and Eaton Vance) and advises on pivotal strategic growth initiatives domestically and internationally for Morgan Stanley
    • Gain exposure to Morgan Stanley's senior leadership across all divisions, including Institutional Securities Group (ISG), Wealth Management (WM), and Investment Management (IM)
    • Work on multiple live projects within a small team, allowing you to gain hands-on experience in strategy and M&A

YOU WILL

  • Develop advanced strategic thinking skills and a deep understanding of the global financial services industry, by assisting the team in identifying and evaluating growth opportunities (e.g., new market or product entry), including analyzing market trends, the competitive landscape, business complexities and regulatory constraints
  • Learn the fundamentals of M&A, through helping the team evaluate M&A opportunities across the franchise, including screening for potential targets, assessing their strategic fit, and conducting detailed valuation / pro-forma modeling and analyses

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Pursuing a Bachelor's degree and will graduate between December 2026 and June 2027
  • Demonstrated interest in finance and basic understanding of accounting principles
  • Outstanding analytical and quantitative skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • A quick learner with a strong work ethic; a team player with the ability to work independently
  • Detail oriented with strong organizational skills and ability to manage time efficiently and effectively

Expected base pay rates for the role will be $52.89 per hour at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
