Social Media Intern

Job Description: We’re looking for a creative and innovative Social Media Intern who is seeking real-life experience building, launching, and implementing social media strategies to join our team on a part-time basis. Our ideal intern creates dynamic visual content, writes intriguing and entertaining copy, and believes every social media conversation is an opportunity to engage with our audience. The successful candidate is creative, analytical, an excellent communicator, and enthusiastic about being a part of a small global team that is actively working to develop clinical therapeutics.  This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a keen interest in social media marketing and a desire to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced biotech environment with a highly experienced biotech team.

Responsibilities:

  • Co-develop and implement social media strategies to increase brand awareness and drive engagement for Valerio Therapeutics (ValerioTx).
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create compelling content for our social media channels, including posts, graphics, and videos.
  • Monitor social media platforms for trends, news, and industry activity relevant to ValerioTx.
  • Engage with our audience by responding to comments and messages in a timely manner, while triaging inquiries to the ValerioTx team.
  • Track and analyze social media performance metrics to optimize strategy and identify areas for improvement.

Requirements:

  • Currently enrolled in or recent graduate of a Bachelor’s program in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • Prior experience with social media marketing, either through internships, part-time jobs, or personal projects, including LinkedIn, Instagram and X.
  • Experience creating dynamic visual content utilizing social media apps.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Proficiency in using social media management tools and analytics platforms (e.g. HubSpot, Khoros, Hootsuite, Loomly, SocialPilot).
  • Creative thinker with the ability to generate innovative ideas for content and campaigns.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work as part of a team and independently.
  • Passion for science or biotechnology.
  • Fluency in French is preferred.
