Commercial Analytics Intern

POSITION SUMMARY

Vericel Corporation, a leader in advanced cell therapy for the sports medicine and severe burn care markets, has an exciting new opportunity for students looking to grow and learn about the Biotech/Medtech industry. This is a great opportunity to intern with an exciting and fast-growing life sciences company with a talented team of professionals who are committed to improving the lives of the patients that we serve. This internship opportunity is being offered by the Commercial Strategy & Business Intelligence Department. 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Essential Functions: 

  • Perform analyses of Vericel’s key performance indicator (KPI) metrics across the Ortho and Burn Care franchises
  • Complete 2 – 3 analytics projects for Commercial leadership, assessing business performance along specific dimensions identified by the commercial strategy team (e.g., product usage trends by customer, Excel databases of target accounts, insights from large data sets)
  • Support marketing through evaluation of customer behavior trends
  • Support commercial operations workstreams pertaining to analytics (e.g., KPI dashboard reviews, identifying process gaps)

QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Current enrollment in a 4+ undergraduate and/or graduate degree program applicable to the internship being offered
  • Strong Excel skills with a high interest in developing additional Excel capabilities
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly collaborative and team oriented
  • Ability for intern in work approximately 24 hours per week on-site and within defined business hours
