Student Trainee (Supply)

What is the Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA)?

Auditing defense contracts is unlike any other career in the financial world: Before an aircraft carrier sails out to sea for the first time, we've been on board. DCAA offers candidates the opportunity to gain valuable on-the-job training and experience related to the logistics career field. Interns may work full-time or part-time schedules. 

 

Qualifications:  Applicants must be enrolled at a qualifying educational institution full time and completed at least one year of study. The required education must lead to a bachelor's or master's degree. Preferred course of study at an accredited college or university with academic study including courses broadly related to business, supply, or logistics, such as, Supply Chain Management, Quality Management, Business process analysis and simulation, and similar courses.

Minimum GPA: 2.5, Must be a U.S. Citizen.
 

  • As a Student Trainee, you will actively participate in on-the-job training, progressively challenging assignments, and career enhancing opportunities that relate to the needs of the agency.
  • Performs assignments in strict compliance with instructions referring problem situations and deviations to superiors for resolution and/or guidance.
  • Assists the Property Management Team in providing accurate accountability and support for DCAA equipment as it relates to receiving, distributing, hand receipt establishment, inventory, and disposition.
  • Identify requirements and requisition, issue, or distribute office and administrative supplies, forms, publications, or other printed materials.
  • Search catalogs, records, or other data sources to obtain or correct stock numbers or to find authorized substitutes for stock items.
  • Assists the Fleet Manager with dispatching and tracking leased government vehicles to include usage, mileage, and fuel reporting.
