Social Media Intern

Summary

Caledonia Spirits is seeking a Social Media Intern to support our Digital Marketing Initiatives. We have a busy social media presence across multiple platforms: Twitter, Linkedin, Tik Tok, Instagram and Facebook. We’re looking for an intern with collegiate and/or professional experience to work with our team to ensure we are continuing to grow our online community. This is a paid 10-week (May 30th, 2023 – August 4th, 2023) program with the potential to extend into Fall 2023. Degree credits may be possible through your university or college at their discretion. This position will involve remote work, as well as an in-person presence at our Montpelier, VT facility and various sites for photo and video shoots. The intern will focus on two key deliverables: the design and implementation of a test campaign on Tik Tok and possibly Youtube in preparation for Bee's Knees Week, as well as developing an archival system for our digital image library on Google Drive for easier team identification.

We’re seeking a hands-on addition to our team who is interested in our brand and mission and knows how to nurture our online community through social media engagement with our fans and partners; creating dialogue and bringing the brand to life including timely responses to direct messages and comments is an essential part of the work. This internship will involve daily community engagement, social analytics and assessment, content creation, skill building in new tools and creating a content pipeline and teaser campaign for our largest annual initiative, Bee's Knees Week, which occurs every September. This charitable initiative celebrates the Bee’s Knees cocktail and underwrites habitat creation for endangered pollinators. It is the largest fundraising campaign in the spirits industry that specifically protects bees and native pollinators and the largest sustainability event in the spirits industry, measured by the reach of the program.

Founded by a beekeeper, Caledonia Spirits was built on a vision to connect cocktail culture to agriculture. We are passionate about the spirits we produce, including Barr Hill Gin, America’s Most Awarded Gin. Our work is fueled by the values of environmental stewardship, social responsibility, and continuous learning.

At Caledonia Spirits we believe diversity makes us better. For us, it is not just about being an Equal Opportunity Employer, which we are proud to be. It is about inviting different experiences, backgrounds, and perspectives to our work; and making conscious efforts to reach out to candidates who can bring different ideas and perspectives to what we do and create together.

So we invite passionate people, committed to excellence, to join our team. We welcome applicants of all races, religions, colors, national origins or places of birth, ages, sexes, sexual orientations, genders, gender identities, and abilities.
