Social Media Marketing Intern

Are you passionate about social media, content creation, and building online communities? Castix is seeking a Social Media Marketing Intern to join our marketing team and help grow the online presence of our medieval fantasy game. As an intern, you will work directly with our marketing team to develop, manage, and optimize content across our TikTok and Instagram platforms. This role offers hands-on experience in social media strategy, content planning, community engagement, and performance analysis while contributing to the promotion of an indie game in its late stages of development.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in planning, creating, and publishing engaging content for TikTok and Instagram
• Collaborate with the marketing team to develop content calendars and social media campaigns
• Monitor social media trends, platform updates, and emerging content styles to identify new opportunities
• Engage with the community by responding to comments, messages, and discussions in a professional and timely manner
• Analyze post performance and audience engagement to identify successful strategies and recommend improvements
• Work closely with designers, artists, and developers to showcase game features, development progress, and behind-the-scenes content

Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, Business, Public Relations, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
• Strong written communication skills with the ability to adapt messaging for different audiences
• Familiarity with TikTok, Instagram, and current social media trends
• Creative mindset with an understanding of what makes engaging short-form content
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Passion for video games and an interest in helping build and grow a game community is preferred, but not required

This is an unpaid internship, but it may be eligible for course credit. The internship is fully remote, and interns will need to use their own equipment. The duration of the internship is negotiable. Interns will be provided a manager/mentor from a senior staff member. The intern will have flexible hours and may need to communicate with staff members across various time zones. We are able to adapt the project based on the amount of hours you are available for this internship.
