Management and Sales Internship- New England

SUMMARY:

Our paid internship is designed for candidates who are B2B-sales oriented and interested in sales or management. Our 10–12-week introductory course will provide candidates with working knowledge of the industry by exposing them to all aspects of the electrical distribution field through a combination of mentoring and on-the-job training.

As a CED intern, you will gain experience in each aspect of company operations including:

  • Beginning to End Sales Cycle Training 
  • Warehousing & Logistics
  • Inventory Control 
  • Customer Relations
  • Management & Project Management
  • Inside/Outside Sales
  • CED Business Philosophy

Our interns will have the opportunity to work on special projects such as market sales or customer analysis, as well as other projects custom designed by the management team and the intern.

Internships are flexible on dates! Please coordinate with hiring manager for start and end dates. 

REPORTS TO: Profit Center Manager

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Current, valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
  • Authorization to work in the United States (without requiring work authorization sponsorship by CED now or in the future)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite software
  • Detail oriented
  • Ability to solve problems
  • Must be a self-starter who can handle multiple tasks at the same time

WORKING CONDITIONS: Conditions vary based on the intern's current segment of the training and will include warehouse, office and external environments. During some segments, activities will include lifting, sorting, standing, possible extreme heat/cold conditions. Office segments may include sitting for extended periods.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: No

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Communicating – both written and spoken – in English.
